Moves For Less provides house moving services for single-family homes, townhomes, and multi-level homes. We move the furniture, the boxes, the garage, and the basement. Houses come with spaces that hold more than they look like they do, so we plan the estimate around all of them. Our movers protect floors and walls, disassemble and load furniture, and reassemble it where you want it at the new home. Packing, appliance moving, piano and hot tub moving, storage, and junk removal can all be added. If your closing dates do not line up, we can load your home, keep your items in storage, and deliver when you have the keys.

The garage

Tools, bikes, lawn equipment, and shelving take time. Gas cans, propane, and paint cannot go on the truck, so sort it early.

The basement

Stored furniture, decorations, and gym equipment. Many basement stairs are narrow with a turn at the bottom.

Attic and storage closets

The rooms most people forget until moving week. Go through them before the estimate so the count is right.

Yard and patio

Patio furniture, grills, planters, and hot tubs. Empty grills of propane tanks first.

How long does it take to move a 3-bedroom house?

A 3-bedroom house is often a full day of loading and unloading. Adding packing can add another day before the move. We give you a time estimate with your quote.

Should I empty dressers before the move?

Remove anything fragile, heavy, or valuable. Light clothing can often stay in place. Ask us during the estimate.

Can you move outdoor items like a shed or play set?

Do you move houses long distance?

Yes. Our long-distance movers handle out-of-state house moves.

What should I do the night before the move?

Pack a bag of essentials, empty and defrost the fridge, and clear a path from the front door to the driveway.

How should I get the house ready for the movers?

Clear a path from each room to the front door. Unplug electronics and coil the cords. Keep the driveway open so the truck can park close, and keep pets in a closed room or with a friend for the day.

Can you split items between several homes?

Yes. Tell us before the estimate if items are going to more than one family member. We load in an order that makes more than one drop-off simple.
