Yes. Long-distance moves are priced by the size of the load, so every item you do not take lowers the cost.

Keep passports, IDs, legal documents, medicine, jewelry, cash, laptops, and keys to the new home with you. Propane, gasoline, paint, and pool chemicals cannot go on the truck. Plants and perishable food do not travel well on a long-distance move.
