Moves For Less provides local moving services for houses, apartments, condos, and offices. A local move stays within our service area and doesn’t require an overnight trip, so most finish the same day they start. Every local move includes transport, loading and unloading, plus floor and wall protection and free insurance and transit coverage. You can add packing, furniture disassembly, appliance moving, piano moving, storage, and junk removal. We build every local estimate from 4 things: the size of the move, access at both ends, the services you add, and the date. You only pay for what you book.

Downsizing moves

A smaller home means moving the right things, not everything. We load by your colored tape or sticky notes, so each item goes to the new home, a family member, storage, or out the door.

Senior living moves

Independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities set move-in windows and elevator times. Send us the rules and we plan the arrival around them.

Packing and unpacking

Most local moves are finished in one day. A studio apartment can take a few hours. A large house with packing can take a full day or be split over two.

How far in advance should I book a local move?

Book as soon as you know your date. Weekends and the last days of the month fill first.

Do I need to be there on moving day?

Someone needs to be at both homes to let the movers in and answer questions. It can be you or someone you trust.

Yes. We can load your home, take everything to storage, and deliver it when the new place is ready.
