Three ways to book packing

Moves For Less offers packing services for home and business moves. Our movers can pack your entire home, a few rooms, or only the fragile items. We label every box with its room and contents, so the rest of the move goes fast. When a box says kitchen, pots and pans, it goes straight to the kitchen. You can book packing on its own or add it to a local, long-distance, or full-service move. For larger homes, we often pack the day before the move so moving day stays focused on loading. We give a free estimate within 24 hours.

Full packing

We pack every room, including kitchens, closets, garages, and bookshelves. Best when you are short on time or moving a large home.

Partial packing

You pack the easy rooms. We pack the hard ones. Most customers hand us the kitchen, the dining room, and anything breakable.

Fragile-only packing

We pack glass, china, art, mirrors, lamps, and electronics. It costs less than full packing and protects what breaks most.

Unpacking

Add unpacking and we empty boxes at the new home and take the packing materials away.

Tote rentals

Prefer to skip cardboard? Rent stackable plastic totes that need no tape and close with a lid.

How long does it take to pack a house?

It depends on the size of the home and how many items are in it. We give you a time estimate with your quote. Larger homes are often packed the day before the move.

Do you bring the boxes and packing supplies?

Tell us what you need when you request your estimate. We confirm the supplies for your job in the quote.

Can I pack some things myself and have you pack the rest?

Yes. That is partial packing, and it is one of the most common ways customers book packing.

Will you pack items that are not allowed on the truck?

No. Hazardous items like paint, propane, and fuel cannot be packed or moved. Plan to use them up or dispose of them before moving day.

Is my packed stuff covered?

Every move with Moves For Less includes free insurance and transit coverage.

How much does packing cost?

It depends on how many rooms we pack and how full they are. A kitchen takes more time than a guest room. Tell us the rooms, any special items, and your move date for the most accurate quote.

Can you split items between several homes?

Set aside medicine, documents, and chargers you are taking yourself. Empty the fridge and freezer if they are moving. Mark items that are not moving, and keep kids and pets out of the rooms being packed.

Why do customers hand off the kitchen?

It is the hardest room to pack. Dishes, glasses, small appliances, and pantry items all need different wrapping, and it is the room you need first at the new home.
